  The objective of the module  
     
 

The participants should be familiar with the anatomy of the different species and techniques that enable correct, effective and safe bleeding. The module emphasises the importance of effective bleeding and checks throughout the killing process from an animal welfare perspective. Furthermore, the participants will increase their knowledge in using physiological indicators when confirming the death of an animal.
